As far as steakhouses go Carnevor is right up there. The quality of food was great. The twice baked potatoes were a little different, they were mini potatoes and had corn in them. They were good, just different. Took a party of 8 there and everyone said their steaks were perfect.

If you live within 2 hours of Carnevor, this is the place you should be eating. My husband and I have been to tons of steakhouses. It's what we like to do. We've been to Berns (Tampa), Pappas Bros (Dallas), STK (Vegas), Bavette's (Chicago), Carversteak (Vegas), Prime and Provision (Chicago), Ruth's Chris, Mo's (Milwaukee) just to name a few. All of them are great don't get me wrong. You do get to a level of steak and sides where you're splitting hairs. Carnevor does steak like none other. Then the soup and sides and drinks and dessert!?!! They're at the top. I would say only Bavette's is comparable in making me want to go back again and again. And the service at Carnevor is unmatched. You really get treated like family and they take a lot of time and effort to get to know their customers. I just can't say enough great things about them. So if you're near Milwaukee and want the best steak, this is where you need to be. I have never been disappointed there ever. And in over probably 20 visits that's a perfect track record.

We reserved a table for our anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated. We weren't expecting anything, yet every staff member we encountered made sure to acknowledge us and make our day feel extra special. They had given us a menu that said "Happy Anniversary " on the inside to add that extra little touch. It was very special for a place we had never been before. The food was great! The steaks were cooked perfectly and the butter they give you with their homemade bread is delicious. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and will definitely recommend to friends and family. Thank you so much!

Decided on Carnevor on our anniversary dinner spot and was not disappointed. The steaks were perfect, the service was excellent on a very busy night, and the wine selection was endless. Great experience!

Another great dinner. Mark, the manager, really took good care of us. He stopped by our table and actually remembered my name. That is impressive as I was here about 4 months ago. My goal is to come here every time we visit, Milwaukee. That goal is easy to meet as the food is always great and prepared the same each time. See you in April! BTW we are coming California. Worth the trip every time.

Thanks Carnevor for making my birthday extra special! We arrived super early - 5pm when they opened, but I'm glad we did. We were able to enjoy some quiet time before the restaurant got busy. I loved the Carnevor martini - highly recommend. Our waiter, Will, was great at his job. We had several people stop by the table to help and offer bday wishes. The tomato mozzarella salad was the perfect place to start. Fresh and flavorful. I had the bone-in filet and my husband had the bone-in ribeye. Sides were yummy - risotto, potatoes, mushrooms. Removing a star because the shrimp I added on were almost inedible to me. They were so salty and overly grilled. Could use some acid to cut through the salt and burnt flavor. My husband ate them for me and said they were fine, so to each their own! Free dessert donuts were lovely and we liked the sauces. Price was steep but we had a lot of fun and felt well taken care of. Thanks again!

After many years of a visit to Carnevore, I finally experienced a meal at Carnevore. The restaurant is smaller than I thought it would be and dark inside. There was very little room between our table of 6 people and the neighboring tables. The staff was attentive and polite. The steaks were cooked well, even the ones ordered filets ordered medium (gasp). The mushrooms were really good but tiny. We ordered the steak Tartare, which was okay. I had scallops with my NY strip, which were prepared well. Overall, I recommend it. It has a cozy ambiance and good option for steak.

Delicious! Delicious! Yes, it comes with a huge price tag but was it worth it. We enjoyed every bite. Service was great. Friendly staff, gave us tons of time to ourselves and checked in appropriately. Hard to choose from menu cause everything looked good. Tried bits and pieces things between the 2 of us. Couldn't find anything we disliked that we ordered except the free anniversary dessert was lackluster, but then again, it was free. We absolutely will be back and highly recommend. Again, the price is very spendy but well worth it for a special occasion! Happy eating!

5 of us dined on Saturday night. Two of us had Filets that were over-cooked, 2 steaks were fine, and the seafood entree was good. Granted, even at over-cooked they still tasted good. Our food was delivered by food runners to make sure it was hot, but our server didn't do her check back for a a little bit of time so by the time she asked how everything was, we said it was fine. Great dessert ($16).
